There’s only one direction,
in the faces that i see..
it is upwards to the ceiling,
where the chamber’s said to be..
like the forest fight for sunlight,
that takes root in every tree,
they are pulled up by the magnet,
believing they are free….
Extract from the supergroup Genesis.
What fascinates us so much about a journey? Travel programs, books, the desire to go on a trip not just to see some sunshine but to experience ‘whats out there’. Is it the similarity between any journey and our own life-path journey? even the ‘journey’ from 9o clock to 10o clock, 10 to 11 etc, is a possible reflection of the ‘bigger journey’. Is that why everyday journeys hold such fascination for us - if our small journeys are productive or if they are good learning experiences, does that mean a better chance of them adding up to a fruitful or meaningful life journey?

Bob Marley and the Wailers..
Rise up this morning,
Smiled with the rising sun
Three little birds pitch by my doorstep
Singin’ sweet songs of melodies pure and true
Sayin’, “This is my message to you-u-u.”
Singin’…
Don’t worry about a thing
‘Cause ev’ry little thing gonna be alright
Singin’, “Don’t worry about a thing,
‘Cause ev’ry little thing gonna be alright.”

Don’t worry about a thing
‘Cause ev’ry little thing gonna be alright
Singin’, “Don’t worry about a thing,
‘Cause ev’ry little thing gonna be alright.

Although we are definietly not out of winter, a couple of quiet, beautiful evenings cheerd me, but especially seeing a big patch of early daffodils in bloom outside Hebridean Jewellry in Iochdar - my dafs are still trying to open, but not there yet.
In the quiet evening, the wind has gone
and the sun is sinking, to the land.
no flap or wingbeat in the air, no shrill or chirp to lend a hand
even Neptune’s feeling calm, no crashing waves upon the sand.
If Mother Nature’s feeling quiet, as she spreads night blanket on the ground
who am i to break that spell? I’ll wait a while..without a sound

Post Box by the road, North Uist
but weather not improving much. The daffodils on the outer hebrides are poking through the ground with green stalks about two inches long - one of my favourite sights of the year because it means that spring and summer are approaching fast - a little bit faster would be nicer..
don’t know how i broke my last blog, hope i don’t break this one!

Like all things in life, definitely much easier when you know how ( or when someone who does know how does it for you and you then pretend to understand). I say that, but i still need to see if this actually has worked…
